Don't blink, you'll miss it
Just gassed up about 30 miles east of Wells, Nevada.
Verizon has 1xRTT service here, 2 bars of signal strength even. I wouldn't be surprised if I just doubled the number of Internet users in this suburb of Wells.
Update: The town we stopped in was Oasis, NV.
