Network Operations Position at UEN
Utah Education Network is the research/education network for Utah and southern Idaho. Our Network Operations is located at the University of Utah in north-east Salt Lake City. We currently operate the largest, most complex IP network in the state of Utah to connect every K-12 school, higher-education campus, public library and Utah state government: over 1000 end sites, 16 backbone PoPs, 1.8Gb/s of Internet connectivity and local peering. Our network is carrier-class (in engineering terms, not marketing), based on MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, multicast, DWDM, tons of GigE and some 10GbE.
This is (one of the most) challenging networks in the state, and a place to grow your networking skills more than any other place in Utah, while contributing in very meaningful ways. Plus, it's a stable and mature organization with many benefits you cannot find elsewhere, including a healthy work/life balance, working on a team of experienced network engineers, and more.
Good benefits, including very generous non-vesting retirement plan.
